Discounted Bridal Gowns

Obviously every bride wants to look beautiful in her bridal gown. This is her big day when she will fulfill all of her childhood dreams. Some brides with huge wedding budgets can buy any dress they want or even have they gowns specially made just for them. Many wear couture dresses that cost more than many weddings. For the bride with a small budget, she can still look gorgeous while at the same time wear a discounted bridal gown.

Finding a discounted bridal gown isn't that difficult. Most brides plan their weddings over the course of a year. That gives her plenty of time to find that gorgeous bargain. Reading the hometown papers is the first place to find the bargains. Generally, bridal shops will announce storewide sales. If a storewide sale is announced, the bride should go early and plan to stay late. The store will be packed with other brides trying for the same bargains. Taking a few girlfriends along for backup is a great plan. Tell them what you are looking for and your budget so they can run around the shop too looking for dresses for you to try on. During these sales, you won't have a saleswoman to yourself so don't plan on outside help. You are on your on.

A smart bride might want to go to the store advertising a sale before the sale. That way she can look around, see what she likes, and even try on a few. Even if you find the dress of your dreams, you have to force yourself to wait for the sale. At least you will know what to go for first. These storewide sales are hard work so get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast. Remember this is war. You against all the other brides.

Many stores do not do storewide sales but have a sales rack or a sale room with all of their discounted bridal gowns. Generally, nothing is wrong with these dresses. The store is simply making room for the new season of dresses. You can find some incredible bargains, sometimes 75% or more off the list price. Look at the dresses with a fine eye. Some may be perfectly fine with just a bead or a pearl loose. Any dressmaker can fix the dress for a low price. These discounted bridal gowns are usually nonrefundable so make up your mind.

Don't buy a dress just because it's cheap. Make sure you love the dress and will be happy to wear it for your wedding. It's your big day and you want to feel beautiful. Whether wearing a discounted wedding gown or a one of a kind dress, you can still feel like the prettiest bride ever. With a little work and time, you can save money and find a great bargain. All the work and effort will be worth it when you see the look in your groom's eyes. You will be the only female in the room.
